Hello, Susan! Thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
You’ll be happy to hear that you and your family are more than welcome to bring your own water bottles into the
Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks and Water Parks. Glass bottles and containers are prohibited, but single-use plastic or reusable plastic or metal ones are fine. My husband, daughter and I each carry our own reusable bottle which we fill to the brim with ice before leaving our
Walt Disney World Resort hotel each morning and then top off with cold water. The ice melts in the insulated bottles over the course of the day, so our drinks stay cool well into the afternoon.
Did you know you can also receive a complimentary cup of ice water at any
Counter Service or Table Service restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort? Some of the kiosks and vendor carts only offer bottled beverages, but anywhere that serves fountain drinks will happily provide you with free ice water in a paper cup. As a part of
Walt Disney World Resort’s commitment to lower waste and single-use plastic consumption, paper straws are available by request, and you may not receive a plastic lid for your cup. This is another reason we like to bring our own bottles--so we can keep a lid on our drinks (and help the environment at the same time).
Making sure you stay well-hydrated in the Parks is one way to ensure that everyone in your party can still have a magical time even on the hottest of days. In addition to the complimentary cups of water, you’ll also find water fountains near each of the Theme Parks’
restrooms, too.
If your little ones prefer flavored beverages, consider packing small bottles of water flavor enhancer to keep in your bag. I keep a sandwich bag with little bottles or single-use packets of lemonade and fruit punch flavoring in mine. They’re great for when we order water with our lunch or dinner!
Enjoy your visit to
Magic Kingdom Park, Susan. Let us know if we can answer any other questions for you.
