Hi there, James! Welcome to planDisney.
One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World Resort is to sample the
delicious offerings at the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. I also understand the challenge of having picky eaters in your party! Fortunately, you should be able to find items at the festival that will appeal to your picky eaters. I have included this
Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide to the Festival that has descriptions and photos of the items available at the food booths. Booths that are usually hits with kids are The Fry Basket and Mac & Eats. Also, check out the Germany booth for Schinkennudeln -- baked macaroni and cheese with ham, the Belgium booth for waffles with fruit or chocolate toppings, or the Brazil booth for Pao de Queijo -- Brazilian cheese bread.
When we visit the festival, instead of ordering each person their own items we choose a few from each booth and we each have a bite or two. This is a great way to sample some of the more adventurous dishes and introduce kids to new flavors. It also keeps us from getting too full so we can sample more items! If there is anything that someone in your party finds particularly delicious, you can always go back and get more.
One great thing about the festival is that the outdoor food booths are sprinkled throughout EPCOT, making it easy to stop at a booth or several in between visiting attractions. Many booths are also located close to year-round quick-service dining locations, so if there is a booth you would like to try that might not appeal to your kids, you can find them something they will enjoy nearby.
Refreshment Port serves chicken nuggets and french fries,
Refreshment Outpost offers hot dogs,
Regal Eagle Smokehouse serves cheeseburgers, and the Via Napoli Pizza Window (open only on Saturdays and Sundays in October) offers excellent pizza by the slice. Other popular choices with my kids are
Yorkshire County Fish Shop for fish and chips and
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie for sandwiches or the excellent Croissant Jambon Fromage (ham and cheese croissant).
James, I am wishing you and your family a wonderful vacation! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We are always happy to help.
