When are Epcot festival dates released? I have a solo, late winter/early spring trip planned for the Princess 5k and would love to be able to experience all the tastes and topiaries of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.

Hey there, Rochelle!  It is great to see you here at planDisney.

How fun that you have a late winter trip planned!  I love escaping the long winters where I live and trading grey skies and snow for sunshine and flowers at Walt Disney World Resort.  Experiencing an EPCOT festival is one of my favorite things to do - I can certainly understand why you would like to include a festival in your itinerary.

There is no definitive schedule for when the dates of EPCOT festivals are released, but typically we'll see an announcement 2 to 3 months in advance.  I do know that the dates for the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival were announced in December 2021.  The 2022 Festival ran from March 2 through July 4.  I recommend keeping a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for information and announcements about the 2023 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.  My guess is we'll hear something within the next few weeks.

Rochelle, whether or not you'll be able to experience a festival will depend on how long your trip is.  While in recent years the festivals have expanded to extend throughout most of the year, there is still a short period of time between festivals when the switchover takes place.  The 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be taking place from January 13 - February 20, 2023.  My expectation is there will be at least a few days between the end of that festival and the start date of the 2023 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.  It does take some time for the gardens and topiaries to be installed.  Even if the festival doesn't officially begin until after you depart, perhaps you might be able to get a sneak peek at some of the gardens.  Feel free to check back with us as your trip draws closer for any updates.

Rochelle, I am wishing you a wonderful visit!  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  We are always happy to help.  Enjoy your stay, and best wishes to you for the Princess 5K!
