Hello Courtney!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you are having a blast planning your Walt Disney World Resort adventure.
The newly renovated rooms at
Disney's Pop Century Resort are beautiful. I recently stayed in one about a month ago with 3 other Moms Panelists and we were blown away by the transformation. We really enjoyed the upgrade to queen sized beds. We also found the sliding door between the bathroom and bedroom area perfect for those of us who rise with the sun and like to get ready early. I hope you find it as enjoyable as we did. Courtney, with the addition of the larger beds, the rooms at Disney's Pop Century Resort would not accommodate an air mattress. The average dimensions of a twin air mattress are about 36'' wide by 74" inches long. With the murphy bed down in the new rooms you only have about 22'' of space between the edge of the bed an the door. Far too small to house an air mattress comfortably.
If you do need an extra bed, consider
Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside, rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of the Resort have two queen beds and small pull down murphy bed. My 12 year old loves this pull down bed, and it works perfectly for our family. It may be a great option if you need an extra sleeping space.
I hope this has helped. If you have any other questions please send them our way. We love to lend a helping hand whenever we have a chance.
Dream as Dreamers Do,
Jen
