I enjoy dressing up. Would wearing a faux fur wolf tail be considered a costume or bounding?

    Heigh-Ho Daniel,

Thank you for bringing your curiouser and curiouser question to planDisney, I am happy to assist you with your creative, pixie-dusted clothing inquiry. Some of my favorite moments are seeing Guests' DisneyBounding at Walt Disney World. It's one way Guests can add to the magical moment for everyone to enjoy and it's so fun to guess the characters and admire the thought that went into creating their looks.

DisneyBounding is an artistic and inspired rendition of Guests utilizing everyday clothes and accessories to portray a Disney Character. By using colors, patterns and textures, as inspiration and interpretation of a character, along with accessories such as jewelry, belts, bows, shoes, etc. Guests can transform their everyday style to showcase their DisneySide. An easy search on Pinterest will show you many uniquely, identifiable Disney Character outfits.

In my opinion, a faux fur wolf tail is a literal interpretation of what you are trying to accomplish and crosses into the realm of costuming. In fact, a wolf's tail may not be necessary. For example, if you are trying to DisneyBound The Big Bad Wolf, and starting from the bottom up, consider black shoes, red pants, a black shirt with green suspenders, a black or blue hat and for fun, a pig-inspired backpack or jewelry to complete the look. But ultimately, DisneyBounding is about having fun and showing your DisneySide and your Disney Character is Your Artistic Creation and if a wolf's tail completes your outfit then Bibbid Bobbidi Boo, consider it done.

Enjoy the process and take joy in knowing you are creating magical and memorable moments for other Guests who will love and admire the Disney Inspired look.

    Have a Practically Perfect Day,

    Amy M.
