Hi Lauren, and welcome to planDisney! From all of us here on the Panel, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I love hearing stories of couples getting engaged at Walt Disney World Resort, dreams do come true there!
You and your fiancé made a wonderful choice to stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside! This resort has recently been updated, and the proximity to the parks and Disney Springs cannot be beaten! I love taking the boat ride down the Sassagoula River to Disney Springs, and spending an evening dining on a great meal, followed by some shopping! Since you will be on your honeymoon, here are some suggestions for Disney Springs, the first is making a dining reservation (whether it be casual or fine dining) and experiencing the incredible
Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney show! You will be blown away by the beautiful acrobatics and story that captures the wonder of Disney animation.
As you will be on your honeymoon, I also suggest making a spa reservation during a day you won't be visiting the theme parks!
The Grand Floridian Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a package called "Just the Two of Us", which includes a Massage for Two, plus the Grand Pedicure for Two, or you can opt for the massage. You can make online reservations for the spa
here. You're on your honeymoon, so relaxing is necessary! Since you will already be at the Grand Floridian, why not make it a whole afternoon and evening? Visit the
Enchanted Rose Lounge for some afternoon cocktails and make a dinner reservation for two at
Victoria & Albert's. If you are wanting an even more decadent experience, make a reservation at the
Chef's Table at Victoria & Albert's, where you will have a wonderful seat witnessing the incredible culinary team curate the most sumptuous meal!
Finally, I suggest looking at different tours that have recently returned to the theme parks as part of your honeymoon. Since you were engaged at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, take a look at the
Wild Africa Trek, and over at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, take a look at the
Keys to the Kingdom Tour, and see if these experiences you would like to try.
I hope all of these suggestions help you get started on planning what will be the most magical "Happily Ever After"! As always, stop by the Panel again if you have any more questions. Happy planning!
Frances
