End of Jan/13. Split stay @ BLT for convenience to MK... in addition to that, which do you recommend for 4 & 7 year old children? Beach Club or Boardwalk, assuming it will be too cold to swim. Or somewhere else? Want boat/walk to Epcot/HS no buses! th

Welcome back to the Mom's Panel, Jaime!  Split stays are a lot of fun and give you two vacation experiences in one!  Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is my home resort and holds a special place in my heart!  You are going to love being able to walk to Magic Kingdom and having the monorail access to travel to Epcot and the other Magic Kingdom Resorts. Although I have stayed at both DIsney's Boardwalk Inn and Disney's Beach Club Resort, I would have to recommend Beach Club Resort for your family. Disney's Beach Club Resort is actually my favorite Resort on property for the New England style theming, close proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and Stormalong Bay Pool, the best pool on property in my opinion. One of my children's favorite activities at Disney's Beach Club Resort is roasting marshmallows by the evening campfire on the beach, watching a Movie Under the Stars and catching a glimpse of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from the beach. You can easily walk to Epcot from Disney's Beach Club Resort and utilize the Friendship Ferry to Disney's Hollywood Studios. When we stay at the Beach Club Resort, we still like to walk or ride the Friendship Ferry over to the Boardwalk at night to enjoy the entertainment of street performers, midway games, or a surrey bike ride around Crescent Lake. Be sure to visit Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, a 50's style soda fountain serving hamburgers, french fries, and ice cream specialties and is located at the Beach Club Resort. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please feel free to write me back if you have any additional questions that I can assist you with.  Best wishes for a Magical 2013 Trip, Jaime!
    Happy Planning,
