We are empty-nesters, visiting WDW for the very first time. (2/21/09-3/3/09). How are the crowds this time of year.

    Hi Margaret

First all, LOVE your name :) How exciting, your trip is just around corner! The weather during your trip should be very nice. The high temperatures during that time are usually in the high seventies with lows in the upper fifties. The crowds will most likely be moderate to above average. I like to use to check their crowd calendar during my visits. The site uses a variety of information like previous years attendances and special events to rank the crowds from one to ten, with ten being the highest. For the week of 02/21/09 thru 03/03/09 the crowds are five to seven with your arrival date at seven and the majority of your stay at five or six. You will be at WDW during a fun special event, the ESPN weekend 02/27/09 thru 03/01/09.

ESPN weekend takes place at Disney Hollywood Studios and the only thing you need to take part in this event is your park admission. You can find out additional information about this event and some of the activites that are happening by visiting here. Hope you have an opportunity to take part in some of the activities. Have a fantastic trip!
