Hello Mike,
Thanks for bringing us another question. I'm happy to assist!
I scoured the internet looking for some simple troubleshooting steps for your rechargeable Lightsaber. Though I came across comments from a few corners of the galaxy citing similar issues, I wasn't able to find a simple solution to pass along. It seems that accessing the battery on these types of Lightsabers is a challenge that requires The Force to conquer, or at least the schematic for the internal workings of the hilt.
I'd recommend reaching out to
Merchandise Guest Services for assistance with your item. You can reach them by phone or via email at merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com. Cast Members there should be able to offer troubleshooting assistance or offer a return/exchange if the item is not functioning properly. I wish I had more specific guidance to share but I'm hopeful they'll be able to help get to the bottom of your tech issue.
As you work toward a solution keep an eye out for
Star Wars TruMoo Blue Milk at your local retailer. This limited-time offering straight from
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is sure to bring a little bit of the fandom right to your home. I'm more of a green milk fan myself, but I'm planning to pick up a half gallon of the fun for my
Star Wars-loving husband and son on my next grocery run.
Mike, I hope you'll be able to get your Lightsaber back in proper working order faster than the fastest Kessel Run. If we can answer any other planning questions in the meantime, please come back and let us know.
May The Force be with you,
Amy
