If EMH start @ 8:00am at a park, will the Disney busses be running from resorts by 6:45am? Should we try to be at the parks by 7:00am, or is that too early? What is a good time to get there so we can look around/take photo's/get a map before opening?

    Hi Jana,

The Disney buses typically begin running an hour before the park opens. I would say if you are at your resort bus stop around 6:45am, you stand a good chance of being on one of the first, if not the first bus, of the morning. I like how you think!

Depending on which resort you are at, and which park you are headed to, the typical transportation time from resort to park is about fifteen to twenty minutes. Some resorts share buses with neighboring resorts so that could add a few minutes to your travel time. Once at the park, you will only be able to enter so far into the gate area until the park actually opens so you will have plenty of time to snap a few pictures and review the park map and show times. (Note: you can also get copies of these maps at your resort if you want to plot your strategy the night before or the bus ride over).

We usually like to be at the park around thirty minutes before opening to allow enough time to get ready before the it's time to play. Given your proposed start time, I think you will have plenty of time before the rope actually drops. Have fun!
