Hello, we are embarking on the Disney Wonder cruise from December 15-18, 2022. Are COVID tests required? If so, does it have to be PCR or rapid antigen, and how soon do we have to get test results back? And what about proof of vaccination?

Welcome aboard, Lauren! Thank you for cruising on by with your question.

Disney Cruise Line maintains a careful watch on the things that may impact the health and safety of sailing guests and crew. As a result, things may change between now and the time you sail, so I highly recommend that you stay tuned to the Know Before You Go section of the website for the most up-to-date information available prior to sailing.

Beginning October 14th, 2022, the Disney Wonder is among the Disney Cruise ships that will no longer require vaccinations, although they are recommended. You will have to upload proof of vaccination to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight of the day you are boarding the Wonder.

Also beginning October 14th, 2022, only unvaccinated guests will be required to test, providing Disney Cruise Line with proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken 1-2 days before you board the ship. You'll have options when it comes to testing. You can do an at-home proctored antigen test, where you'll have results within a few minutes right in the convenience of your home or hotel room. If you visit the Safe Passage website, you can schedule an in-person test near the cruise terminal. You can also use an independent testing site. Just keep in mind, your test has to be taken 1-2 days prior to sailing, so when making an appointment with an independent testing site, make sure you can get your results back quickly.

Lauren, your Very Merrytime sailing should be a fun and festive yuletide fantasy. Check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for special holiday activities!
