Hey there, Lisa! Welcome!
I love
Walt Disney World vacations in part because of the perks available to guests staying at one of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Especially if my family is going for a short trip, the bonus theme park hours you get as a resort guest can really help you to see and do the things that are on your must-do list.
In order to be in a theme park to enjoy the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, you will need to have a
theme park reservation for that park for that day. There is no way you can be blocked from going due to capacity if you have a theme park reservation in that park. The other way to take advantage of the extended evening hours is by using a
park hopper ticket. You can make a reservation in one park, where you spend your day, then after 2 PM, you can park hop over to another park. That allows you to go to the park with the extended evening hours. If for some reason the park you wish to hop to has reached capacity, you will be notified via your
My Disney Experience app. The one time I have seen this happen, there were also signs at the transportation depots. It is a rare occasion this might happen.
Don't forget to take advantage of the
Early Theme Park Entry perk. It's a great way to get one of the big things on your list done before the park opens to non-resort guests.
Have so very much fun, Lisa!
