Hi Amy. Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your great question.
How exciting that you'll be visiting
Walt Disney World in just a few days time! Be sure to pack all of those theme park day essentials. Some of my family's include refillable insulated water bottles, ponchos, sunglasses and power banks to keep our phones charged at all times.
Lightning Lane passes are a great way of maximising your time at the Disney
Theme Parks as they allow you to skip the standby line and join a shorter queue for select attractions and experiences instead. Thereby reducing the amount of time spent waiting in line and increasing the number of attractions and experiences that you are able to enjoy during your day.
Going back to your question, Amy, in order to ensure that both you and your in-laws are able to experience the same attractions/experiences, at the same time, your best bet would be to wait to
purchase your Lightning Lane passes until your in-laws are eligible to do so, 3-days in advance of their visit.
Top Tip - You will need to connect everyone in both travel parties on your
Family & Friends list in the My Disney Experience App so that you’ll be able to purchase Lightning Lane passes and make plans for everyone that is eligible.
I appreciate that this might not be the news that you were hoping for but, you may find it difficult to select the same Lightning Lane experiences and align your arrival windows, otherwise.
Amy, I hope that this information has been of help. Should you have any other questions about your upcoming visit, please feel free to re-visit us, here at
planDisney, where it will be our absolute please to assist you.
Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
