Hi Kim,
Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow electric vehicle owner, I am also always on the hunt for charging locations in all the best locations. Making sure your car can charge while you play is especially important when at Disney World. You want to make sure that after a long day, your car is ready to go and hopefully already cooled down for you when you arrive. Luckily, most of the EV charging stations are close to the entrance of the theme parks so you won't have far to walk at the end of the day!
When you arrive at any
Disney parking lot let the parking attendant know that you need to use one of the charging stations. Charging locations are limited at Disney World and are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Magic Kingdom only has 5 charging locations and the other 3 theme parks all have 4 charging locations each. If you absolutely have to charge, I would arrive early to ensure you get one of these coveted parking spots. The charging station provider at Disney World is ChargePoint. If you have not used ChargePoint before, I would make sure you get the app set up ahead of time so you can pay easily and get notifications when your car is fully charged.
If you plan on staying at a Disney Resort hotel during your visit, I would opt to stay at
Disney's Riviera Resort,
Wilderness Lodge, or Coronado Springs Resort as these are the only resorts with charging stations available.
During your visit next month, be sure to check out the newest addition to Magic Kingdom,
Tiana's Bayou Adventure for a roaring trip through New Orleans. I also highly recommend stopping for some of Tiana's famous beignets for a tasty treat after your ride.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
