Hi there, Brooke,
Thanks for cruising by planDisney with your question! We have all sorts of advice for your Disney Cruise Line vacation, including some top tips about tipping!
If you choose to enjoy breakfast or lunch in one of the rotational dining restaurants, you will not be expected to offer additional gratuities.
Now there are some instances when tipping is appropriate and added to your onboard account:
- Extras added to rotational dining meals such as alcoholic beverages
- Adult dining locations such as Remy, Palo, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, which are not part of rotational dining
- Food or drink in shops and outdoor or poolside eateries
- Senses Spa & Salon
These charges will appear on your stateroom folio and be billed to your payment method on file.
Other services do not require gratuities (meaning they won't be added automatically) but are appreciated.
Gratuities for these services are typically offered in cash, though Room Service gratuities can be added to your stateroom folio.
Brooke, I usually pre-pay gratuities for my Stateroom Host and Rotational Dining Team by logging into
My Reservations under the Already Booked tab. I like to include that in my upfront budget and then, when my cruise rolls around, it feels like I have extra money for souvenirs––we call this "Disney Vacation Math" in my house!
We are all ears when it comes to answering your vacation planning questions, Brooke! Stop by any time.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
