Hi Phillipa! As my pal Lumière once said, "It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure" to welcome you to planDisney! I am excited to have you "be our guest" and help you with your questions today.
In just a few months, you and your family will have the magical (and difficult!) task of choosing where to dine at Walt Disney World Resort.
Dining reservations are one of my favorite parts of planning a visit, and I love catching up on all the latest news about dining and new snacks to try on the Disney Parks Blog. The
Foodie Guides are some of my favorite articles to read, and if you feel inspired, check out the
Disney Recipes section. They are full of wonderful meals to try at home!
If you need some dining recommendations that are perfect for adults (and Mousketeers!), you have come to the right place. Character meals are some of my family's favorite dining experiences. There is something on the menu for everyone. Restaurants my family and I always keep going back to include
Garden Grill Restaurant,
Tusker House Restaurant, and
The Crystal Palace. If you want a breakfast option that is a great value, check out
Ale & Compass at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. It has quickly become a favorite of mine!
Let's talk
dining. Children aged 3-9 years of age will be charged children's pricing at Walt Disney World. Once they reach 10 years of age, they will be considered "adults" in terms of pricing. I am happy to report that yes, you
can order off the children's menu at most restaurants throughout the Resort for your 11-year-old, just note that restaurants may charge more if eating off the children's menu. I would check with each restaurant's policy when you arrive at your dining reservations.
Phillipa, thank you for stopping by planDisney again. Please visit us again at any time with other questions you may have before your visit. You've got a friend in me!
Magic Awaits!
Frances
