Pull down that lap bar, Christina, because your family is in for some thrills on your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit! April is one of my favorite times in the theme parks, and I hope you plan to check out the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival while you're there. I know, I know. That's a pretty tame activity for adrenaline junkies, but you can't live on thrills alone! You'll have to have sustenance, and festival food is the perfect on-the-go way to try some fun and delicious dishes. I can't wait to try the Coconut Tres Leches cake at the La Isla Fresca booth near the France Pavilion. It looks fabulous. But let's get back to what's really important....the rides!
Christina, your little daredevil is good to go as long as they are at least seven years old and meet the height requirement for the attraction. According to the
Resort Property Rules, children under seven, no matter how daring, must be accompanied by someone 14 or older to board an attraction. My favorite single-rider line is at
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I've never had to wait very long, and that ride is perfect for satisfying my need for speed!
Once you've downloaded the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can check height requirements by tapping the Tip Board tile and scrolling through the attractions list for each theme park. Then, when you arrive at the parks, you can check wait times and see upcoming parades and shows. Another useful feature of the app is
Mobile Ordering. Tap the Mobile Food Orders tab to choose a return time and place your order. This might be my new favorite way to eat at the parks because it's so easy and convenient. How did I get back on the topic of food??
I am so excited you're traveling cross-country to visit Walt Disney World Resort, Christina! Please
stop by planDisney with any additional questions because I love talking Disney.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
