Hi there, Dorothy!
Thanks for bringing your
egg-cellent question to us at
planDisney! Since your
great, big, beautiful tomorrow will take you to The Most Magical Place on Earth, there's no time to waste. Let's
hop to it!
While every day at Walt Disney World Resort feels like a holiday, don't you just love how there's always a little extra pixie dust sprinkled on special days (and seasons) throughout the year? My husband and I have been fortunate enough to celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter in The Most Magical Place on Earth, and the Easter festivities are some of my favorites. Did you know there's even a special parade held during Easter weekend?
Of course, festivities aren't limited to the theme parks as select Disney Resort hotels have their own celebrations. In fact, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter hosted a variety of Mardi Gras celebrations today in honor of Fat Tuesday! Easter festivities around the Resorts are typically a bit quieter and have included displays of Disney-inspired Easter eggs crafted by incredibly talented culinary teams. In years past, these works of art on display at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and Disney's Beach Club Resort have been available for Guest enjoyment in the weeks leading up to Easter. Last year there was even
a feature in the Disney Parks Blog announcing its arrival. Unfortunately,
no bunny has shared the 2025 display dates at this time. This could be due to Easter's later date, or it could simply be that Mickey plans to surprise his Guests!
With this in mind, I encourage you to inquire with Cast Members at your hotel upon arrival to see if they have any updated information available to share. You'll also want to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and
Walt Disney World's social media in case an announcement is made during your visit. You might even consider making a loop on the
Monorail just in case. Even if the display isn't up, I've never regretted spending time in the grand lobby of the Grand Floridian!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
