Is it more efficient to buy our passes when we book our campsite, or buy them before we come? I have thought that buying one a month at a local Disney store might help rather than all together (note buying 10 total). Get better deal within package plan?

    Hi Cherie,

This is a common question which a lot of guests ask and really it is a personal preference. I like to spread my vacation budget out over a few months so I would opt to purchase later.

When tickets are purchased as part of a package, all guests on the reservation have the same tickets. For most parties, this is fine and your Key to the World card and tickets are all in one place. Your tickets last from the first day you check in until the day you check out.

If you purchase tickets separately, this allows you flexibility. For example, if you are planning to be at Disney for seven days but are on a late flight in and an early flight out, you may only want a five day ticket and not a seven. By purchasing separately, you have this option.

Also, if someone in your party is staying less time, you have the option for them to purchase a ticket with less days than if you are on a package.

However, if you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you must take the package plan as the dining plan is linked to the tickets.

As for deals, Disney is always offering different discounts and you need to figure what works best.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
