Eating at Disney. Do we need to make a reservation ahead of time? My daughter has severe allergies - gluten, corn, dairy, sugar, additives. What restaurant do you suggest?

Hi there, Sofia! Welcome back to planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to reach back out and allowing us to help you plan another vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

One of my family’s favorite pastimes during our own vacations to Walt Disney World Resort is tasting all of the delicious food! There are so many different and unique dining locations, we love taking the opportunity to explore new menus and enjoy our favorites.

At certain dining locations, it is strongly recommended that you make advanced dining reservations. We typically will make advanced dining reservations at any of the table service locations we intend on eating at during our own stays. However, you will not need reservations for quick service or grab-and-go dining locations. Typically, we have a mixture of quick service and table service dining plans so we can have a bit more flexibility with our plans.

I am also happy to let you know that Walt Disney World Resort does a phenomenal job providing accommodations for special dietary needs! As someone with multiple food allergies myself, I love that I don’t have to put a ton of planning into choosing specific allergen-friendly dining locations. That being said, since your daughter has multiple, severe food allergies, I do highly recommend reaching out to the Special Diets team! Cast Members with this team are specifically trained to assist Guests with navigating complex dietary needs such as your daughter’s!

I hope you have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World Resort in the future! Please let us know if we can provide any other planning assistance as well!
