    If we are eating dinner at the Contemporary without park tickets that day, are we permitted to ride the monorail around the property after dinner? On July 4th, would we be able to see the MK fireworks from the Contemporary?

    Hi Anne,

    There is no requirement that you have park tickets to ride the monorail. You're welcome to do this at any time. Riding the monorail to visit the various resorts is a popular pastime. It's great fun to explore the resorts. I should warn you, however, that July 4 is usually among the top three or four most crowded days of the year at Walt Disney World. Depending on what time you're planning to ride, there is a small possibility that access to the monorail may be temporarily restricted to guests staying at the monorail area resorts. If this does happen, it will only be for a little while, otherwise you're free to ride at will.

    You are welcome to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Contemporary. There's a good viewing spot on a balcony just past the shops on the fourth floor. Head toward the Bay Lake Tower walkway, but stop just before you get there.
