We are eating at crystal palace at 8 am on dec 24th. I have never been to MK for just the day before. What time/where should I park? How much is the monorail for non-resort guests? I am excited, but worried that I will be surprized by the small costs.

    Hi, Christine!

Breakfast at the lovely Crystal Palace is a wonderful way to begin your Christmas Eve visit to the Magic Kingdom! You will be allowed entry into the park about 30 minutes prior to your 8:00 AM reservation time, so I recommend arriving at the Transportation and Ticket Center by 7:00 AM. This will give you time to find a parking spot, walk (or take the tram) to the monorail platform and ride the Express Monorail directly to the Magic Kingdom park entrance.

The Transportation and Ticket Center serves as the parking lot for Magic Kingdom and is located adjacent to Disney's Polynesian Resort. As you pass through the Magic Kingdom Auto Plaza (where you'll stop briefly to pay the $15 parking fee to the attendant), you'll simply continue straight ahead to the Transportation and Ticket Center. There is no cost to ride the monorail -- Disney resort hotel guests and day guests alike are welcome to experience this magical mode of transportation!

So, the only cost you really need to plan for in terms of getting to Magic Kingdom is the $15 daily self-parking fee. Of course, you will need to have valid park admission to Magic Kingdom in order to dine at the Crystal Palace since it is located inside the park. If you do not already have park tickets, you can purchase them when you arrive at either the Transportation and Ticket Center or at the Guest Relations ticket window to the right-hand side of the entrance to Magic Kingdom park.

I hope this helps! Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any additional questions before your trip.

Enjoy your breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Woods ~ and best wishes for an extra magical Christmas Eve at Magic Kingdom!
