I have eaten at Remy before and loved it. I am curious about the Remy First Night Dinner. Is there any difference in the experience on Remy First Night when compared to the other nights? Can we do the Petites Assiettes de Remy on the first night?

    Ahoy, Chris!

It is great to hEAR from you! I know how excited you must be to vacation again on the Disney Fantasy in 2020! I can't think of a more magical way to celebrate a new yEAR and decade than with Disney Cruise Line.

Chris, beginning your weeklong vacation with a French-inspired meal at Remy is a fantastic idea. If you decide to reserve dinner on the first evening, you will have another chance to dine at the restaurant again before the end of the sailing. The extra dining opportunity is the only difference you'll encounter.

Petites Assiettes de Remy is a dining experience that can only be booked on board after embarkation. This six-course meal begins at 5:30 p.m., which will be the perfect time to watch the first sunset of your vacation. I advise you to eat lightly throughout the day if you decide to partake in this unique meal. The Executive Chef and Sommelier will be your tasting guides for the small plates and wine selections during the evening. You'll start the experience in the Wine Room then move into the Main Dining Room before ending on a sweet note in the Chef's Table Dining Room. By traveling throughout the restaurant, you'll be able to enjoy the attention to detail and elegant decor from room to room. I love how creatively they placed Remy in the design!

Chris, I hope my answer is helpful as you make a dining decision for your first night aboard. I know it is difficult since the main dining options are fabulous, as well. And there's also Palo to consider! The good news is that you can't go wrong, and the service is phenomenal no matter what you select. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any additional questions about your cruise!

    Bon appétit!
