Can you eat at resort restaurants even if you aren't staying there? If so, how do you get there? I'm staying at the All Star Movies resort but I'd love to visit the Caribbean one.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Anastasia! Thank you for visiting us with your great question! We are thrilled to be able to help you plan your magical vacations at Walt Disney World!

You can absolutely eat at other resort hotels during your vacation! We do it all the time! It is a super common practice amongst guests and such a wonderful experience for your family!

What you will have to do is use the complimentary bus transportation from Disney's All-Star Movies over to Disney's Hollywood Studios and from there take another bus to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Even better, you could also take the new gondola system Disney Skyliner, which will give you a wonderful bird’s-eye view while traveling from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort for your meal. Please, allow 45 minutes to an hour for travel time to make it from your resort to your final destination.

If you prefer to save time, you could also use Disney Minnie Van Service, a great way to get around Walt Disney World Resort quickly and in comfort, all aboard a super cute polka-dotted-themed, Disney-owned, Disney-operated vehicle. Disney Minnie Van service works with the Lyft app. For more information, please visit this link to learn all the ins and outs of Disney Minnie Van Service

If you are interested in resort dining, let me recommend two of my favorite restaurants, Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort, one of the classic character dining experiences! You will get to eat a buffet-style breakfast surrounded by Mickey Mouse and his pals. My family also loves to eat at 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and Cinderella's Stepsisters will be hosting you for a delicious buffet dinner in a beautifully decorated storybook-themed venue.

Anastasia, I hope this helps. I wish you a memorable vacation and dining experience at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you need more help with your vacation planning, please come back, we love to help out!

    See ya real soon,
    ~Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
