Hello Christine! Thanks for bringing your great question to planDisney! It’s easy to spot a true Disney fan! With a favorite quick service dining location such as Gasparilla Island Grill, I’m pretty sure you’re one of those fans!
About two weeks ago, I visited my son, who is living in Orlando this summer. We decided to go have dinner at Gasparilla Island Grill, which is one of our quick service favorites. Upon arrival at the gate, we were denied access as we did not have a resort hotel reservation or dining reservation. The Cast Member at the gate, who was very kind, explained that the only dining that would allow for parking at the hotel was reservations for table service restaurants at the hotel. This would include
1900 Park Fare,
Narcoosee’s,
Grand Floridian Cafe, and
Citrico’s. Since Gasparilla Island Grill is a quick service dining location, reservations are not available.
Christine, another option would be for Guests visiting Magic Kingdom or one of the other resorts along the
Monorail loop. If visiting one of those locations, a Guest would be able to board the Monorail and exit at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to enjoy quick service dining at Gasparilla Island Grill.
Dreams do come true!
