What would be the easiest, least chaotic park to get to from Caribbean Beach during the Princess Half-Marathon on 2/25 and 2/26, 2023? Take the shuttle to Animal Kingdom? Or Skyliner to Hollywood Studios? How to avoid the most traffic & crowds?

Hello, Eileen! Welcome back to planDisney. You must be so excited about your upcoming trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth in 2023!

Whether you're a runner, spectator, or none of the above, the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is inspirational and lots of fun! However, since the events start well before sunrise, road closures will occur overnight and can extend into the morning hours, especially during the Half Marathon on Sunday, February 26. Guests heading to the parks need to allow plenty of time to reach their destinations.

On Sunday morning, the Disney Skyliner will be your best option, and I recommend spending that day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Most runners like to go to Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT for medal photos, which will help alleviate the crowds at the other parks. The roads will reopen a little earlier on the morning of the 10K, which is Saturday, February 25, and this is probably a better day to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

If you haven't done so already, make sure to get a reservation at Sebastian's Bistro at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The Latin-inspired menu is delicious. If you have any race participants in your travel party, they will enjoy carb-loading on the buttery House-Baked Pull-Apart Rolls. I'm getting a "Rumbly in my Tumbly" just thinking about them!

We'd love to help you again in the future, Eileen! Please feel free to write us back anytime. See ya real soon!
