    Do we get in early if we are staying at fort wilderness?

    Thanks for your question to planDisney!

    I am guessing that you are referring to the Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests? This fantastic benefit for staying at a Disney resort lets you enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes before the posted opening time for that park. 30 minutes with smaller crowds is a great way to start your day!

    The good news for you is that yes, if you are staying at the cabins or the campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort you get to enjoy the Early Theme Park Entry perk! 

    Of course, the natural tendency is to start planning what attractions to get a jump on, ahead of the larger crowds that are sure to follow. That is a great idea, but remember some of the other benefits to early entry that are often overlooked

    • Photo Time! It is rare that you can get a family photograph in front of the different icons for the parks without huge crowds in the shot. But imagine a shot in front of Cinderella Castle without all the hustle and the bustle. A keepsake, for sure.
    • Window shopping. Maybe you don't want to carry around a purchase all day long, but this is a great time to pick out what you want to buy on the way out of the parks, figuring out what size shirt fits just right, what scene you prefer for your snow globe collection, or what candy treat to snack on during your monorail ride back to your resort.
    • Menu plan. Get a peek at the different restaurant menus to figure out where to take in your midday meal. This is especially helpful if you can plan out a Mobile Online Order, and don't have to run back to that specific restaurant just to place your order. Regardless of where you are in the park when those hunger pangs strike, you can place the order and then head over in less of a rush.
    • Selfie heaven. Now is the time to get that new selfie taken for all your social media profiles, complete with many of the varied, colorful, and fun backgrounds. Wouldn't it be nice if you didn't have someone walking into your shot and ruining that perfect selfie?
