Hey there, Ashley! Thanks for choosing planDisney to help with your
Walt Disney World Resort questions. You're smack-dab in the middle of the magic, so I hope your vacation is off to a fantastic start. Now, let's turn to a not-so-magical topic: departure day. But it's not all grim news! Let's jump into Early Theme Park Entry policies to lessen the sting of leaving.
As the saying goes, "The early bird gets to ride all the best attractions." While I'm not always an enthusiastic morning person, I do like to take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry. Guests of Disney Resort hotels have this fabulous benefit, and the best news is that guests with valid admission can enter the parks 30 minutes before they open on the day of checkout. Set that alarm, Ashley!
Even better, you can leave your luggage with
Bell Services at your resort to head to the theme park unencumbered. My bonus tip is to take a photo of your claim ticket so you can easily pull it up when you pick up your bags. Those little slips tend to get hidden in the bottom of my backpack! Luggage storage is a complimentary service, but I always tip the Cast Members since my Mickey Mouse suitcase can get heavy with all those souvenirs.
For your next visit, remember you can also use Early Theme Park Entry on the day you check in. I see you're a Floridian like me, so if you live relatively close to the parks, you could set that alarm super early and get in some fantastic bonus time. I'll be honest; that's probably never going to happen for my family. But I'm sending pixie dust your way if you want to try it!
Be sure to stop by the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival this week. My sisters and I recently enjoyed sampling Global Marketplace dishes. I know it sounds strange, but the
Pickle Milk Shake at Brew-Wing Lab is delicious. It's sweet and refreshing with just a hint of dill, and your photos will look great on social media!
Ashley, I'm wishing on the morning star that you get some bonus time in the parks. Remember, the best cure for the post-Disney blues is to start planning another visit! And
planDisney is always here to help.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
