Hey there Greg,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question. First of all - you have a fantastic name! It's always a pleasure to get to answer a question from a fellow Greg.
As for your trip this fall, I'm glad to hear you're getting a jump on planning for it! Typically, my recommendation is to book your trip as soon as you're fairly confident about when you'd like to visit and the
theme park reservations are available.
Currently, to visit one of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. I like to check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to quickly check on this, but theme park reservations for standard theme park tickets are currently available about six months out from the current date.
Keep in mind that theme park reservations are modifiable from the
My Plans hub, so if the dates of your visit change then you can move them to another date with available reservations.
However, since it sounds like you've got the dates of your visit all set and theme park reservations are available for those dates for standard theme park tickets then I would recommend buying your tickets and making those reservations now!
You'll be visiting during the
Holiday season, which will offer so many fun extras to see and do. As you get closer to your visit, be sure to check the
Disney Parks Blog for all the news about what will be happening around the resort during this time.
Thanks again for your question, Greg! I hope you and your family have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth later this year.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
