If I have an early morning breakfast reservation at Chef Mickey's and plan to go to Magic Kingdom immediately after breakfast, can I just hop the monorail to Magic Kingdom from there and leave my car parked at the Contemporary for the day?

Hello Carrie and welcome to planDisney!

I can't think of a better way to kick off a Magic Kingdom day than to dine with the "big cheese" at Chef Mickey's!

When you dine at Chef Mickey’s, you’re welcome to park at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for up to three hours during your dining reservation. So while you won’t be able to leave your car there while you head off to Magic Kingdom Park, I have a practically perfect plan to make your day seamless!

I recommend parking at the Magic Kingdom Parking lot first thing in the morning. From there, hop aboard the Resort Monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center for a quick and scenic ride to breakfast at Chef Mickey’s! After you’ve fueled up on Mickey waffles and fun with your favorite Disney pals, you can either take a leisurely stroll (it’s just a short walk!) or monorail over to Magic Kingdom Park for an unforgettable day of adventure!

Fun fact: Did you know that Disney’s Contemporary Resort was built using a unique modular construction method? The rooms were actually assembled off-site and slid into place like puzzle pieces. Pretty amazing, right? It’s just one of the many reasons this iconic resort is such a marvel!

Wishing you a day filled with magic, Mickey waffles, and monorail rides!
