Aloha, Diana! Welcome back to planDisney. You've asked a
Tigger-ific question, and I'm happy to help!
I recently stayed at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and oh how I miss that tropical oasis! As much as I love this resort during the day, it is even more relaxing when the tiki torches light it up after dark. But another reason that this iconic resort remains a Guest favorite is due to its location. There is a Monorail station on the second floor of The Great Ceremonial House, with stops at Magic Kingdom Park and the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), from which you can transfer to
EPCOT. Some Longhouses are even a short walk to the TTC; we stayed in Moorea, which was less than a five-minute stroll away. We managed to get to EPCOT in 15 minutes after leaving our room- incredible!
As you mentioned, Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can take advantage of a 30-minute early entry into the theme parks every day. This perk can make a considerable time difference in your day; my son loves
Test Track, and the
Early Theme Park Entry allowed us to hop in the queue with minimal wait. The
Walt Disney World Monorail System operates 30 minutes before the earliest park opening until one hour after the latest park closing. So, if EPCOT officially opens at 10:00 AM, Early Theme Park Entry will be at 9:30 AM, and the EPCOT Monorail (TTC) will begin operating at 9:00 AM. I would aim to get there no later than 8:45 AM so that you can go through security and be ready as soon as the Monorail arrives. Also, double-check the
Park Hours Calendar since opening times may differ during your stay.
Diana, here's another tip for you: one night, schedule some time to grab a Dole Whip from the
Pineapple Lanai and then find a nice spot on the Polynesian beach from which to watch
Disney Enchantment. If you're willing to stay after the show, you might even get a glimpse of the
Electrical Water Pageant. To me, it doesn't get any better than this!
