How can we get an early check in time?

    Hi Louis,

Welcome to planDisney! As soon as you arrive at Walt Disney World, the magic begins, and most of us can't wait to enter a theme park and ride that first ride. I completely understand wanting to drop your stuff in your room and freshen up so the fun can begin.

Unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee an early check-in time at your Disney Resort hotel. These Resort hotels are extremely popular, and Mousekeeping will need time to get them properly cleaned before the next batch of guests arrives. My advice is to use Disney's Online Check-In, which is available in the My Disney Experience app. During the check-in process, you can indicate your expected arrival time, and you can let them know you would like to prioritize having your room early over all other requests. This will notify the Resort hotel that you will be arriving early and they will text you as soon as your room is ready. We have had rooms available earlier in the day but you are not guaranteed a room until after the standard check-in time at your Resort which will be either 3 PM or 4 PM depending on where you are staying. With the Direct-to-Room Service, once you receive your text notification that your room is ready, you can bypass the front desk and go straight to your room.

If you arrive early and your room is not ready yet, you have a few options. Bell Services will happily store your luggage while you enjoy whichever option you choose. When you arrive back to your room, they will deliver your luggage, and you can settle in for the evening. My favorite option while we are waiting for our room to be ready is to enjoy our Resort hotel's pool. The great part about this option is that if you just got off a long flight and want to freshen up, most of the pools will also have shower facilities you can use. You can also go ahead and make your way to the theme parks and spend the day playing! If you do this, I recommend making it an early night and grabbing dinner at your Resort hotel so you aren't too exhausted for the next day.

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
