How early can you check into the resort in order to have access to the Dining Plan? We’ll be arriving in the early morning and know we can’t actually get our room until afternoon; however we want to have access to the dining plan for the first day. Thanks

Hi, Diane! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question! The Disney Dining Plans make our mealtimes while on vacation super convenient. I don't know about you, but the only way I will leave the fun of the parks to make dinner is if I have a magic wand at my disposal! All we really need is our MagicBands to swipe for payment and, with a "bibbidi bobbidi boo," our favorite meals appear. Now, I just need to figure out how to make those MagicBands work when I am running late from work, have to drive kids to afterschool practices, and have forgotten to lay something out for dinner ...

You will be able to start using your MagicBands to access your Disney Dining Plan meal entitlements as soon as you check-in your first day. Now, how early you check in is really up to you! Just please understand that you may check in at your resort, but your room may not be ready until later in the day. However, once you check in, all of your vacation components will be considered active. If you would really like to make check-in easy, I recommend you complete Online Check-In and designate a credit card for all charged purchases. If you complete this and provide all requested information, then you can bypass the front desk check-in area! You will receive a text or email as soon as your room is ready and you can begin using those Disney Dining Plan entitlements as early as 7:00 a.m.

Diane, have you made your dining reservations yet? Be sure to do so, as many dining locations are quite popular and can be fully booked within days of their 180-day booking window opening! I hope all of this information helps you plan your pixie-dusted adventures. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
