How early should I arrive at Villains Lair to get in? If we don’t make it in with the first group of people, do you usually still get in from the waitlist or do the people who get in first usually stay until the fireworks are over? Thanks!

Welcome Back to planDisney, Colleen, and Welcome Home!

There are so many perks to being a Disney Vacation Club Member, but I personally find that Member exclusive access to spaces like the DVC Member Lounge at EPCOT or the Star View Station at Disneyland to be some of the most pixie-dusted benefits. Let's take a look at visiting Top of the World Lounge- A Villians Lair.

Top of the World Lounge- A Villians Lair opens at 6:00 PM. Complimentary parking for eligible Members begins at 5:00 PM, pending availability. Check-in officially begins at 6:00 PM. Your arrival time will depend on a few factors. If you only have one night you can attend and visiting is a high priority, then I would arrive before 6:00 PM and be prepared to check-in when the lounge opens. Typically, Guests who enjoy the lounge stay for fireworks, so it is not a guarantee you would make it in from the waitlist. I recommend visiting Disney's Contemporary Resort and doing a bit of shopping if you arrive before 6:00 PM.

If you happen to be visiting during a time of year that is less crowded, a weekday or not near any holidays, or you have multiple nights you can check out the lounge, then you should be fine to arrive later. I recommend it by 7:00 PM. If you like to guarantee entrance, then you may want to consider calling Member Services to purchase either the Enchantment at the Top Dessert Party or Wicked Wind Down packages. Whatever you do, make sure you try the Seven-Lair Cake; it is devilishly delicious.
