My DWs favorite char is Dopey and I'm surprising her with a Dopey watch that she has always wanted. I want to figure out a way for Dopey to actually give her the watch I've been told Dopey can't deliver it. Is there some way I can set this up?

Things like this can be challenging. It is difficult for a character to give something to only one guest in a public setting. There is a concern about fairness. A child, for example, might not understand why one guest is getting gifts and special attention from a character, while they are not. That being said, you might be able to work something out on the spur of the moment. Here's what I would do ...

Dopey is a character that is sometimes, but not always, in the parks. The first step would be to stop into the Guest Relations office at any of the theme parks and ask them to call the "character hotline" for you. They will be able to tell you if Dopey will be in the parks during the time of your visit, and if he is, where and when he will appear. If he is around, I would go to his character greeting spot and find his "handler." This will be a nearby cast member, likely wearing a yellow vest and/or headset. The handlers are responsible for keeping the characters on schedule, etc. Speak to the handler about your plan. If things are slow, the handler may be able to speak with the character or arrange some sort of discrete situation where he can give the gift to your wife. I wouldn't get your hopes up that this is possible, but it's worth a shot.

I'm sure no matter how your gift is delivered, your wife will be thrilled at your thoughtfulness.

    Have a great trip!
