We are going to DW for 1st time in Sept. with my 5 & 7 yr olds. In my plans I haven't scheduled any go back to hotel and rest times. I figure we can rest while we eat (mostly table service) and anytime thru the day in the parks. Does this sound ok?

Hey Verna.  I have a six year old and have been taking her since she was six months old and in all that time I can only think of a handful of times we actually planned for a nap.  I think your children are going to be just fine with the plan you have made.  They are actually at great ages to keep on going.
If they start to tire a little, find a nice air conditioned building.  Take in an attraction like the Hall of Presidents or Mickey's PhilharMagic and let them rest a bit.  A table service outing is another great place to rest and refuel, but honestly I think they are going to do fantastic.  It must be that Disney magic, but my three seem to come up with more energy than my husband and I could ever muster.
Have a wonderful time in September, and I truly hope your first trip to WDW is a magical one.
