Hello we are going to DW in July.  My kids have never been (boy and girl ages 7 & 4). I do not know where to start as far as making dining plans. What would be the best restaurants and character dining for them?

    Hi Jennifer,

Disney has so many restaurants and it can seem quite overwhelming trying to choose which ones to dine at. What I suggest you do is have a look at the restaurants by clicking HERE you'll see that you can click different links on the left hand side to sort them into categories such as location or dining experience. Another great resource is www.allears.net if you click on dining you can then view all the menus and see a description of each restaurant, this should help you narrow down the ones you'd like to try.

As you have quite young children I would definitely recommend you dine at a character restaurant, which one will depend on which characters your children like. Popular choices are Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort with Mickey and friends, the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom with the Winnie the Pooh characters and Akershus in Norway with the Princesses. Other favourites with my children are Teppan Edo in Epcot, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and 'Ohana also at the Polynesian.

When you have decided on where you'd like to dine please call 407-939-3463 as soon as possible to try and get a reservation, you can also use the new online service which can be found on the restaurant pages on the above link.

I hope that helps and you have a great trip,

    Jo
