Hi there, Rebecca,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to be visiting
Walt Disney World Resort in January! Your trip to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" will be here before you know it!
As you know, children under the age of 3 are considered Guests of Mickey and don't require theme park admission. You should not be required to show proof of age for your 2-year-old son. The theme parks work on an honor system when it comes to the ages of young Guests. I've visited with all four of my Mouseketeers at least twice before their 3rd birthday and have never been asked to show proof of age when entering the parks. In fact, my oldest two children have always been very tall for their age, and we were never questioned or asked to show proof of age for either of them. That being said, you could always bring a copy of your son's birth certificate to be on the safe side.
You will be amazed at just how many
attractions and entertainment options your little one can experience at the theme parks. If you find there are attractions that your 2-year-old does not meet the minimum requirement for or prefers to not ride, be sure to take advantage of
Rider Switch.
I hope this information has been helpful to you, Rebecca. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip for your family!
