Going to DW Dec 11-18,09 staying at WL. Arriving between 12-2pm. Read posts about not having a late night after a days travel. QUESTION - what park and/or activities are recommended for 1st day? Where to eat for dinner? May be on DP, how to plan other days

    Hi Barry,

Wilderness Lodge is a great resort especially if you want to chill at your hotel after arriving. However, the choice is up to you. The Wilderness Lodge has a great pool and bikes and other water activities. You can also head over to Fort Wilderness Campsite for some fun as well. Another first day option is to head to Downtown Disney for shopping or hop on the monorail and visit the other resorts to see their holiday decorations.

As for eating, some of my family's favorite restaurants are in the resorts. My favorite is right in the Wilderness Lodge-The Whispering Canyon Cafe.

As for your touring plan, I would go to the parks in this order EPCOT, DIsney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and then Magic Kingdom. This way you get to experience the charm of each park before going to the Magic Kingdom.

I would pick a dining option in or around the park you touring for the day. Some great options-The Wave, Teppan Edo, Le Cellier, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Cape May Cafe, Crystal Palace, Boma.

    Have fun!
