Going to DW in april..have a 12yr old&6 yr old...do you reccomend getting the park hopper option..we are going with friends who do not have young children..don't want to have a BUSY vacation.is it feasable to park hop with young ones or too busy?

Hi, Janet!  I think you'd get a different opinion from almost every Mom on the panel.  In my experience, we don't often use the park hopper option.  I like to minimize travel time during our Walt Disney World vacations, and bouncing between parks takes time.  I will say, I have hopped for dining reservations.  If we plan a day at the Magic Kingdom and that's the only day I can get the reservation I want at a restaurant in EPCOT, we'll hop for that reason.

On the other hand, if you're going during a super busy week and you are a Walt Disney World resort guest, you might want to take advantage of the extra magic hours in the morning, then hop to a different park in the afternoon as that park gets busier, or even hop in the evening to the park with evening extra magic hours.  My girls are almost always too tired to do evening extra magic hours, though.

So, the three things I'd consider before deciding - when and where your dining reservations are; whether or not you think you'd do the extra magic hours in the morning, then switch parks; and whether or not you think your kids can hang in and do evening extra magic hours.  Your answer to those questions will help you determine if park hopping is going to be a valuable option for you!
