Season's greetings, Virginia!
A warm welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us a fabulously festive
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm so excited to hear that you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year! Just because you won't be able to "rope drop 'til fireworks" each day of your upcoming vacation doesn't mean you can't partake in holly-jolly holiday fun. Let's chat about how to make the most of your very-merry vacation!
Virginia, as a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member and Disney Sorcerer Passholder myself, I can empathize with the position you've found yourself in. It looks like our passes are blocked out for the holiday season beginning on December 19, 2024, so I recommend hitting the theme parks on the 17th and 18th. After two days in the theme parks, you may be welcome to the idea of some rest and relaxation, but if you're feeling festive, consider purchasing admission to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on December 19th (subject to availability). Then, perhaps you could partake in
Disney Jollywood Nights on December 21st. For the remaining days, enjoy the holiday offerings outside the theme parks!
The Disney Resort hotels are stunningly and spectacularly decorated during the holiday season, Virginia. I recommend making some dining reservations on property so that you can experience the holiday ambiance at several Disney Resort hotels during your stay! You won't want to miss the fabulous gingerbread display at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, so I encourage you to book a meal at one of the wonderful restaurants there. Then, you could utilize the Resort Monorail to explore the other resorts near Magic Kingdom Park. I also love visiting
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge during this time of year, and a dining reservation at Boma - Flavors of Africa or Jiko - The Cooking Place would allow you to view the dazzling decor there!
Virginia, finally, you'll be so close to Disney Springs during your stay at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Dedicate an evening to partaking in the
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll! Pick up a complimentary map and enjoy a scavenger hunt that'll take you on an adventure throughout Disney Springs. Supplement your experience with small bites and drinks at the restaurants and lounges there for the ultimate evening out!
I hope you've found these suggestions helpful, Virginia. If you have any additional questions about your upcoming visit, you're always welcome to revisit us here at
planDisney! Alternatively, you could reach out directly to our resident
Disney Vacation Club experts, Susan or Candace, with specific questions. In the meantime, I'm wishing you a wondrous wintertime visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Happy Holidays,
Lauren
