We have a DVC room booked at Disney Villas until 12/31. We check out of that room on 12/31 and check into a retail Disney villa room for one night. In the morning, do I give my luggage to the bell desk to hold until I return from the park in the afternoon.

    Welcome to planDisney, Natalie!

I am beyond thrilled to chat with you about your upcoming stay at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. We were just at Disneyland Resort this past July, and I was marveling at the new gorgeous updates around the property. As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I am so excited you will be able to use your Vacation Points to experience the newest offering from DVC. Let's take a look at your visit!

We have booked stays where some nights were on Vacation Points, and a portion was a stay that was booked retail with cash. Typically, those reservation numbers are separate and, therefore, different rooms. Unless you reserved the exact same type of accommodation and were able to request to keep the same room when you booked, then you likely will need to switch. Honestly, split stays are sometimes my favorite visits because we get to experience different parts of the Resort. Luckily, that is as easy as taking your luggage to Bell Services to hold until your new room is ready. A quick tip: Take a picture of the receipt they provide you for your bags. That way, you will be prepared in case the receipt isn't easily accessible once you arrive at your new room. Also, make sure you check out the Disney Animation-Inspired Mural at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. I've heard there are quite a few hidden Mickeys! I see your visit will take into the New Year. We spent New Year's Eve a year ago at Disney California Adventure, and the atmosphere was incredible. I hope you enjoy every moment!

Thank you for visiting planDisney. We are here for all your Disney Vacation Club adventures.

    Enjoy making magical memories!
