Hi there. DVC question. Our current use year starts in June but lately we're finding we want to go in the spring but don't have points available to use/borrow. Is there a way to change your use year start date? Thanks!

    Hi Alyssa!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are not the only Member to wish for a few more points. Becoming Disney Vacation Club Members and Annual Passholders has made our family want to vacation at Walt Disney World even more frequently!

Because a Disney Vacation Club Membership is a deeded real estate interest, the Use Year is not something that can be changed. If you ever decided to purchase an add-on contract to give yourself more points and greater vacation flexibility, you could request a different Use Year for that second contract. While your current contract could still not be changed, an earlier Use Year might be available for the second contract.

If you are wishing to travel this upcoming spring and no longer have points to use in your 2014 Use Year or to borrow from your 2015 Use Year, there are other options. There are currently several special offers available for Walt Disney World Resort vacations this spring that may work for your family. You can also call Member Services to inquire about any discounted cash room rates that may be available to Members.

It sounds like your family is making the most of your Disney Vacation Club Membership with lots of exciting and memorable vacations. Please feel free to let me know if there are any other questions that I can help you with.

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
