How can DVC points be used? We are interested in buying in, but would like to use half the points for the hotel and the other half for tickets and the dining plan...is that possible, or can you only use DVC points for your hotel stay? Thanks! C-

Carissa, buying into the DVC was the best vacation decision we've ever made.  You will love your membership!

At this time points can only be used for accommodations, and I'm not aware of plans for that to change.

If the minimum points purchase is more than what you're wanting you can always consider the resale market.  You can buy a smaller contract from someone who is selling theirs, freeing up that extra cash to pay for your tickets and meals.  Or alternatively, if you do buy the regular contract you could always 'rent' any extra points out to generate the dollars to pay for your tickets.

DVC members can purchase the dining plan but it must be paid when you check into the resort, with cash or credit card.
