Can you use you dvc points to pay for one person cruising and cash for the other party?

Ahoy there, Robert! Welcome to planDisney. It's always a treat to meet a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'll be a loyal first mate on this vacation planning voyage. Let's set sail!

There are so many terrific benefits to DVC Membership, from luxury accommodations with all the comforts of home to all sorts of Member Benefits to add VIP vibes to any Disney adventure. One very cool perk is the ability to exchange your Vacation Points for Reservation Points for a journey beyond the reef with Disney Cruise Line!  Our family has sailed with DCL on several occasions and I am always amazed from start to finish. The entertainment, the service, the food--it's all fantastic and comes with a healthy dose of pixie dust around every turn.

I recently had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sail on the Disney Dream with my planDisney classmates for our training trip and it was such a different experience sailing with other grownups, instead of with the entire family! We had a great time relaxing in the adults-only pool, dominating the competition in 80's music trivia, and checking out the nightclubs and lounges. You'll also get to enjoy a DVC Members-only reception that takes place on every sailing, in addition to discounts on merchandise and some fun swag that you can pick up daily at the DVC kiosk!

Robert, I'm happy to report that you can combine your Vacation Points and cash to book reservations on a Disney Cruise Line sailing! One Guest must be booked fully with Vacation Points, and the other can be paid for with cash. Members cannot combine points and cash for an individual Guest. To help with your planning purposes, check out the Points Charts, which give a specific breakdown of each sailing offered on DCL. Contact Member Services to make your cruise reservations--keep in mind that exchanging your Vacation Points for Reservation Points carries a one-time, non-refundable fee (currently $95, subject to change).

I hope this information is helpful and you'll be relaxing at sea before you know it! Thanks so much for cruising over to planDisney, Robert, and please don't hesitate to reach out directly if I can help with any other questions.

    Bon Voyage!
    Susan
