Hi there, Rosa! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney--what a joy it is to chat with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member. I'm so glad you're here, and I'm at your service to track down an answer to your question.
We moms are always looking out for our kids, aren't we? It's great that you were able to use your
Vacation Points for your daughter to enjoy a magical getaway at
Walt Disney World Resort. Our family loves
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. I'm actually counting down to a stay there this fall with some of my planDisney pals--it was a perfect choice for the ambiance, spacious accommodations, and close proximity to
Disney Springs!
At Saratoga Springs, two sections of the resort are considered "Preferred". These are Congress Park and The Springs. This designation refers to the location of the Villas, not the view from the rooms, and a stay in these areas requires more Vacation Points than a Standard Villa. Any
accommodations in these sections, from Deluxe Studios to 3-Bedroom Grand Villas, may be considered as Preferred Category. The Springs is closest to the amenities at the Carriage House, while Congress Park is the section nearest the walking path that connects the resort to Disney Springs. The other sections of the resort--The Carousel, The Grandstand, and The Paddock--have Standard category accommodations.
Rosa, I hope this information is just what you need to make your daughter's upcoming vacation as magical as can be! Thanks again for visiting planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with any other questions.
Stay Magical!
Susan
