Welcome Home, Heidi! Thanks so much for visiting the
Disney Vacation Club corner of planDisney. It's great to meet a fellow DVC Member and I'm here to help with your vacation planning question. Let's get down to business!
There are so many ways to use your Disney Vacation Club Membership, which is my favorite feature! However, this definitely requires some homework to make sure you understand all of the ins and outs of how your
Vacation Points can be used.
When a reservation is canceled or modified between 1 and 30 days before the check-in date, Vacation Points are placed in a
Holding Account. Points in a Holding Account can only be used to book a brand-new reservation with a check-in date within 60 days. These points will expire at the end of the
Use Year that they are "parked" in and cannot be banked nor borrowed.
Heidi, the points that are currently in a Holding Account for your 2023 Use Year cannot be applied to your Waitlist request, as it is not a new reservation. I recommend reaching out to the helpful folks at
Member Services, who will be able to look at all of the specific details of your Membership and available points and perhaps offer some suggestions for how to use those 2023 points before they expire.
While you're counting down the days for your April vacation, let me offer a few suggestions to add some extra pixie dust to your visit!
I hope this information is helpful for your vacation planning, Heidi! Please reach out to us again at planDisney with any additional questions so we can help you unlock even more Membership Magic!
Stay Magical!
Susan
