Welcome Home, Gene!
One of the many reasons we felt comfortable becoming
Disney Vacation Club Members was the flexibility. Members who hold a blue Membership Card by either purchasing direct from Disney or by joining before March of 2011, can use their Disney Vacation Club Membership to book standard resort rooms through the
Disney Collection at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris, as well as toward Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney! Do know that once your Vacation Points are changed into the Reservation Points needed to book standard rooms, that transaction is final and you cannot go back to using those points to book a Villa.
If you’d like to use your Membership to stay at a non-villa Disney Resort Collection Hotel, you can check out
Points Charts on the Member Website. To book these rooms, you will need to call Member Services. Your
Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points will be turned into Reservation Points that can then be used to book standard resort rooms.
Just so you know before you call, reservations through the Disney Collection at Walt Disney World are subject to the
Rule of Four, as well as a booking fee. The Rule of Four states that you cannot book
and travel during the last four months of your Use Year. You can travel during that time as long as you book before those last four months, or you can make a booking during those four months for travel during your next Use Year, it is the traveling
and booking that is restricted.
After more than a year of canceled vacations, many Americans are excited to be traveling again and things are booking quickly. I always recommend booking early, but that is even more true than ever before. I hope you find the perfect reservation for your vacation, Gene! Please let me know what other questions you have. I love DVC and helping my fellow Members get the most out of their Membership!
Wishing you
Membership Magic!- Kate
