We are DVC owners and Disney regulars and are planning a trip in January 2019. This will be the first time we are bringing a baby. Our first born will be 3 months old when we go. What rides can we take the baby on?

Awww, Amanda! Congratulations on the happy, baby news!

I am planning a trip with my first grandbaby, due in June. The best thing about Walt Disney World is that there is something for guests of every age. In general, anything that does not have a height restriction is fair game, but there are a couple of things that are just favorites with babies.

"it's a small world" at the Magic Kingdom is so great when you experience it with your little one for the first time. My youngest daughter was three months old the first time she went, and she had her head turned to the sky the whole time, taking in the colors and the sounds.

I always took my babies on The Haunted Mansion. They don't know yet that some of the stuff could be scary, but it's a great place to get them out of the heat and the sun for 10 minutes.

Spaceship Earth at Epcot is another great ride with babies. Quiet and calm, it's interesting for grown ups, but won't cause any unnecessary bouncing around for the baby.

Attractions I might skip, even though they have no height restrictions, include Toy Story Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom. While they are great fun, the vehicles can get a bit bouncy and jerky, and unless you are wearing the baby in a sling or carrier, it might be too much jiggling.

Have an absolutely amazing time sharing the magic with your new little one!
