I am a DVC owner. Is free parking at a resort a benefit, even when not staying at the resort?

Hi there, Timothy! Welcome "home" to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The new changes in parking fees at Walt Disney World resort hotels refers primarily to overnight self-parking. As a Disney Vacation Club member, you would not have to pay a fee for overnight parking at any DVC resort, whether you were using your points or paying cash. Also, if you are using DVC points to stay at a non-DVC Walt Disney World resort hotel, you are also not going to have to pay for your parking.

If you are not staying at a resort, there is still complimentary day self-parking for any guest of a Walt Disney World resort. This means you can go enjoy a meal, do some shopping, or just soak up the atmosphere at any of the resorts without paying a parking fee. You'll just let the security guard know when you pull up to the gate that you are there for lunch or shopping or whatever, and they usually allow a 3-hour window to do those things.

Thank you so much for your question! If there's anything else we can help you with, we are happy to do so. Come on back!
